Editor’s Seasonal Edit: A Few of My Winter Essentials

I’ve decided to do away with the monthly editor letter for many reasons. Most importantly, right now I can’t seem to keep up with getting the post out on time so I’m going to do what works best for me — a seasonal letter! So, without further ado, I introduce you to my seasonal edit! This letter will detail what I am loving, what quotes and essentials are going to help me through the season and more! Read on for my current favorite winter essentials:

Winter Essentials I am Loving:

1. Obsessed with…

Fur stoles! For those that know me personally, this is nothing new. Fur stoles in my opinion are a must-have for the winter season. This chic accessory updates your look in an instant and keeps your neck insanely warm. I have a few but this one by Missguided is what I am obsessing over at the moment. See, I recently wore it here.

2. Winding down with…

Nest candles! I’m a huge fan of the Nest Hearth Candle (omg heavveeenn) but I recenltly came across the wasabi pear scent and fell.in.love.

3. Staying warm with…

My new Mackage Chloe coat! I am an outerwear collector! In my opinion, you can’t have too many coats! In fact, a chic coat can give a boring outfit a stylish twist. I’ve been wanting this particular Mackage down coat for quite a while and I finally got my hands on it! Sadly the exact style I purchased is no longer available on the Mackage site, and I can’t seem to find it anywhere else on the internet, but here are some other styles that are equally warm and stylish. Go ahead and join in on #TheMackageCollar fun!

4. Keeping my face moisturized with…

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. This cream is da bomb! It hydrates and brightens (bye-bye hyperpigmentation) the skin simultaneously. If you suffer from dehydrated skin during the winter (ahem, like me), with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract, this cream will leave your skin looking plump and moisturized. Also, if you have dark spots from old acne and pimples, this will help brighten your skin! So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself a cream that can do both!

5. Fighting ashy skin with…

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil. Why haven’t I tried this before? If you don’t suffer from dry, scaly skin during the winter season, good for you! Me on the other hand, I need all of the butters in the world. This rich butter sooo amazing! I apply immediately after showering and I don’t have to reapply during the day. Isn’t that what we all want in a body cream? I think so.

6. Smelling sexy with…

Rituals Voyage En Inde perfume. I picked this up in Paris, and I can’t get enough of this scent. If you’re looking for a warm, sensual scented perfume that you know for sure doesn’t wear off after a few hours, this is for you. P.S you know you found a good scent when you go out in public and people are having side conversations about how good you smell. Yup, that’d be me!

7. Looking stylish with…

Steve Madden Over-the-Knee Norri Boot. Ok, I am in love with this boot! Not only was it designed with girls with skinny calves like me in mind, they are extremely comfortable! Here’s a tip: This boot runs true-to-size!

8. Staying Cozy with…

All kinds of knit sweaters in neutral tones!

9. The word that will get me through this season…

“If you don’t do it, someone else will” Why? Because this is the time of the year that many of us make resolutions, goals (whatever you decide to call it) and we tend to forget about it come February. If you don’t do what you set out for yourself, don’t trip when you see someone else doing what it is that you want to do. Want to take that trip to Italy? Do it! Want to apply for that job? Do it! Just. Do. IT!
