I’ve been blogging for quite a while now, but over the years things have changed, and everything about me has grown and evolved (and I’m still doing so). One of the main reasons I opted for a fresh start and start this new platform was to focus more on lifestyle as a whole. I’ve had the idea for a while but I didn’t have the pieces together, until life happened! Ok, life is happening every day but you catch my drift. We all know life comes at you fast, which is why self-care is important, but I learned that the hard way.
This topic hits home for me because I have been in situations in the past where I was putting everything before myself— job, relationships, etc. Not to say I didn’t care for myself at all, no! I would work and do so much to a point where my body became physically tired, so tired I would faint. I knew this was no way to live so I had to make some changes and I made them fast. I left my former job in 2015 to pursue a career in a field I felt much more happy and passionate about (thank, GOD), and I started to use the word “NO” much more often– and it feels damn good. That for me was my first steps of self-care.

Looking back, I wish I had made some of those changes sooner, but everything happens as it should and I’m okay with that. I feel good and I’ve got my glow back…Holla! So, I invite you to practice self-care as well, you’ll be so glad you did. Whatever you love do it, whatever is driving you crazy find a way to get rid of it or make it work for you.
