👀 👋🏾Lots of new faces so thought I’d share a bit about me:

🇬🇩I’m Grenadian. Yes, I was born in NY but both of my parents are Grenadian and that’s that. A little secret I hate to share: The Prime Minister is my cousin. 🇬🇩 (might delete that later) 🌚

I’m from Brooklyn but moved to NJ with my son (ahem, I mean dog 🐶) DJ and partner, @housebuyingmc about a year and a half ago and we love it here 🥰

💼 I was raised to not to put all my eggs in one basket. Which is one of the reasons why I’m a side hustler (hi, @covetedstyleofficial). By day, I work in marketing for one of your favorite beauty brands (IYKYK).

✨ If you look at my circle of sisters, you’ll notice a theme: Beautiful, intelligent and all building businesses outside of their day jobs. Butttt, don’t let what you see fool you, it’s a very difficult and humbling journey and I’m not afraid to say that.

🙏🏾My mission: To encourage women like me to live boldly, fully and with intention. The life you want is attainable —whatever that looks like for you! Why? I spent many years worried about what others thought about my wild dreams but when I tapped into my potential...whew, I love it here y’all!

💰One of my current hobbies: Trading stock options. 📉

🎥 I also have a lifestyle YouTube channel where I share a lot of my home and travel content. Haven’t dropped style videos just yet but they’re definitely coming along with a peek into the long journey of designing my own collection for my online boutique.

🗣 I talk to myself a lot. Like a lot. I can’t make this ‘ish up. 🤣 prob why it’s so easy for me to talk to a camera for YouTube. 🤔

📝 My favorite quote from my Dad: “Never shoot all of your bullets in anything you do. Save some in the chamber.” A whole 💎

👩🏾‍⚕️ I believe prevention is better than cure so I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle overall and love to refer to my Ayurvedic remedy book to cure anything I can right from home.

Quick story:
I remember a few years ago a friend of mine joked that I only eat “pretty food” 😕 While she didn’t mean any harm, I took offense at first but now I own that ‘ish. I love when food looks pretty and there’s nothing wrong with that. Presentation is everything. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I read a lot about the routines of successful people and often come across the person that raves about hiking. I didn’t understand the connection until I tried it myself. ⁣⁣

This in fact was my experience. I was pushed beyond my limits and I was certainly tested. But I had one goal and that was to make it to the top so I had to keep going. (It also reminded me that I stayed away from the gym too long but that’s another story 🥴)⁣⁣

How does this apply to my journey? Well, it reminded me of all the limits I place on myself and in order to get where I want to be, I need to push beyond the surface. ⁣⁣

Enjoying every bit of this trip and my stories are lit, too 🤣 Love sharing my experiences with my IG community. I really hope this trip inspires you to go on the vacation you deserve and allow yourself to recharge.

If you know Mike and I personally, you’d know when we go on vacation, we really GO on vacation. Thennnn we go dark when we get home and get back to grindin’ 🙇🏾‍♂️🥴 so living it up as if it were our last is extremely crucial for us. Always.
