Bang for Your Buck: Desert Essence Multi-Use Oils

It no secret that I love to incorporate Desert Essence Oils into my hair care regimen. I laud their jojoba oil and tea tree oil for countless reasons. You can now imbue your body, face, and hair with new life using Desert Essence’s multi-use blended oils! Say what? Yes, more reasons to love this brand and, talk about bang for your buck! I received their new line last week and here are my thoughts:

desert essence oil review

Organic Coconut, Jojoba and Pure Coffee Blended Oil*- This oil smells like a Coconut Latte! What makes this product stand out is that it can be used on your body, face, and scalp. I used this in the morning on damp skin and allowed the aroma to wake me up and inspire me to get the day started. No need to worry about looking like a total grease monkey as this product does not leave oily residue. This blend leaves the skin moisturized, firm and smooth. I suffer from severe dry scalp so I used this in my hair with my favorite Camille Rose Naturals deep conditioner.

*Editor’s Tip- Use as an oil treatment for your scalp with your favorite deep conditioner on your strands. Cover and sit under heating cap or hair dryer for twenty minutes and rinse.

Organic Coconut and Jojoba Blended Oil*- Two of the best oils you can use on your hair and skin, especially in the colder months! This blend is made with extra virgin coconut oil and jojoba oils which help your hair and skin retain moisture. Less work for me! I no longer have to mix my two faves on my own!

*Editor’s Tip: Use this oil after washing your hair and applying leave-in conditioner to help seal in the moisture and massage onto scalp to treat and prevent dryness.

Moringa, Jojoba and Rosehip Blended Oil *- This blend is a dream in a bottle, united with ingredients that would perform wonders on your skin. You’ve seen me touting my love for rose hip oil recently, so lets talk about Moringa. Moringa Olifera contains Vitamins A, B, C, E, and has an abundance of fatty acids which aid in fighting skin fatigue. Face oils are dry skin’s BFF. I’ve immediately implemented this product into my regimen. The calming citrus scent of this oil is amazing and light, (and you are hearing this from someone who prefers non citrus scents!). When applying, 1-2 drops is all you need, it doesn’t leave your skin greasy and the texture feels so smooth and velvety.

*Editor’s Tip: Give a boost to your moisturizer or foundation with a few drops of this oil!
